i've just had such an awesome weekend... tiring, but awesome.. hehe... it all started on friday cell group... initially we were all supposed to have a pot bless and then go to the park near by and play lantern... but we cancelled those plans and deicded to go to freo for fish and chips...yummm... then we went to garden city to catch a movie... super fun man..we watched, the devil wears prada... good show, really worth watching...meryl steep was geng man i tell you..haiyoh!!! oh and lena drove jon's car!!! heeheh... she look so small in the driver's seat man.... hehehe.. lena you so tiny so cute!!! *pinches lena* hheeh... after that on saturday...brenda lent me her car (thank you soooo much girl, i can't believe you trust me that much) and i went to go pick up the cake for joey's party.. then went to pick lisa up ...then went to lip eng's place... started off with putting up the decorations...same standard ones heheeh... i dont have much creativity you see.. hehe.... after doing that... lisa and i went down to the uwa service.... the speaker was pastor guna raman from singapore... he was soooo funny man... such a singaporean his accent.. heheh..so cute..he spoke about how miracles happen when people do the unusual, when they step out of their comfort zone and do what they usually dont do... and of course when he says do the unusual, he means do the unusual guided by God.... and you know it's sooo true...there's so many examples to give... but i think i'll just give like....2... okay, so reinhard bonkke is such a powerful evangelist.. and God has healed many people through him and even raised the dead... if the people that required healing, didnt step out of their comfort zone and ask for healing, they wouldnt have been healed...let's see a biblical example, moses.... if moses didnt step out of his comfort zone of living in the palace with his adoptive family, he wouldnt have been able to lead the israelites out of egypt.... somebody has to take that step of doing the unusual... so let that unusal step taker, be you!! heheehe....
hmmm..after the service, lisa and i left immediately, and then went to lip eng's place where the party had already started.. eeheh.... so many people were there and our fear of there not being enough food... welll, that fear became obsulite.. heeheh..cos we had more than enough food ..and the food was super duper yummy man!! we all just hung around.. laughed, talked... then in the end, we all gathered around in a circle and gave speeches about joey... then we prayed for her, that when she goes back to hong kong, she will fulfil God's purpose for her there... in God's time, in God's way and according to God's plan... yup yup...
sunday!!! CHURCH AGAIN!!! YAY!!! heheheehhe.... the speaker today was pastor lawrence chua...and he's from singapore, the pastor of living santuary baptist church.... he spoke about having a heart full of thanksgiving..and our hearts should be full of thanksgiving... and i feel that there shoudn't really be a qustion as to why we should fill our hearts with thanksgiving, God has done so much for us, do we even have to ask why?... a thankful heart doesnt take God for granted and whatever we fill our hearts with (eg, thanksgiving, far, anxiety worries etc...), shapes our character.... and when we take God for granted, we have no gratitude... yup yup...so he challenged us to give with a thanksgiving heart!! =) and im sure many of us did...
after service, went to eat lunch at somerville cafe.. well i kinda sat around and watched the people eating.... cos my order didnt come, and finally when everyone was 3/4 way through their meal, they come up to me and tell me they dont have what i want ...sob sob.. but it's okay... went home and had a slice of bread before i rushed off for drama rehearsals in uni... yup.. but that lasted only like 30 minutes... then brenda lent me her car again!!!! and then i drove down to lip eng's house for zee's party..... ahhhh, went there and recognised only half the people there.. ahah, cos the other half was from his uni... hung out mostly with sheryl and lisa, cos we were helping richard to babysit christine and johnnie.... aww, my two precious babies... *squeezes them so tight they scream* haahah... after zee's party i went to stay over at joey's place to spend some time with her before she leaves the next day... yup... quite a few of us were there and everyone was helping joey to do smthg except for frances and i.... julie was helping her pack, boon wai and sheryl were helping her with the petition letter.. and karen was studying... so frances and i tried to look busy by sitting near julie who was packing..but guess what happened, i think we slowed julie down a bit..hahaha.... we were sitting on clothes.. not knowing what closthes to pass to julie when she asked for them....haahah...so yes basically, we were just....bumming around...but it was okay cos at least we were joking around and helping to lighten up the atmosphere... hehe... stayed over that night right...and didnt sleep till 5 cos sheryl, iris and i were waiting to talk to joey.... but joey was busy doing other things so we ended up giggling and snorting ( that was mostly done by me though)... cos we were so tired but didnt wanna sleep till we could talk with her... haha..so yes slept at 5..and then i got up at 730 to get ready to pick up steven, sheryl, shaun and brenda... yup and then off it was to the air port... when we got there, everyone was eating like a real breakfast..and guess what brenda and i ate... red rooster fast food..everyone was drinking orange juice.. we were drinking coke.. oh dear.... hai... sending of joey was realy hard for all of us... cos she's been such a blessing to each of us in different ways...it was hard to see her go, even though we know we're gonna see her soon, but we're gonna miss her soooo much.... it'll not be the same without joey...=(...we know God has great plans for her, and God knows what He's doing, we've all just gotta trust God to lead us and joey through this cos we all have something to learn through this..and when all of us, esp joey reach the other side of this valley, we can look back on all this, and truly say, it was hard, but God was faithful all the way.... amen! =)
after sending her all, 6 of us decided to go to the beach.. and yes we are aware that it's a very random choice considering how sad we all were, but we decided to go anyway and htank God we did cos we had such a blast.. yivonne, wei yue, boon wai, sheryl, shaun and i went down to scarborough beach to relax..and boy oh boy did we relax... the beach was crowded but we managed to find a quieter spot where the 6 of us just hung out.... the water was freeezing...and how do i know that? cos mr yeoh boon wai.... threw me in!! ish... hahaha... but it's okay... got used to the cold after awhile... i think.. hahaha... then the boys dug a hole and asked for a volunteer to sit in it and bury them...as in, bury the body lah not the head.... but sheryl and yivonne didnt want to... so i decided to do it.... quite fun mah right.. hahaha..and the same was warm for awhile... i really look like my whole body was down vertically... not gonan tell you how we did it... secret!!! eheehehehe...
after soaking up the sun's cancerous rays, we went to eat at this place near the beach... and then we all went back to have a shower... ahh...so good to have a shower man... then we went to tapao dinner and pick up a movie to watch during dinner... yay!! we watched poisedum...super freaky man that show... but i love shows with happy enddings... so the show was quite good.. hehe..... oooh!! and we played uno.. hehe.. havent played that in ages..so obviously i was a bit rusty... it's not my fault that i waccidentally skipped yivonne's turn and immediately.. jumped to mind... and it's not my fault i forgot to say uno when i had 1 card left..haahahahah... no lah it was my fault... but it was fun...laughing and making other people have to draw four or draw two...and also the occasionally draw 10...hahahaaha...super funny man....all in all ,it was an awesome day yesterday...yay!!!=)
