i just read the news and omg, it's appalling. singapore banned a professor from speaking at a gay rights forum and they also banned the pictures he wanted to bring in because they were pictures of gay men and women kissing.

According to the news on Asia one:
Singapore's censors earlier in the week banned an exhibition of photographs depicting gay men and women kissing, also organized by Au, saying the images "promote a homosexual lifestyle, and cannot be allowed."

"The prohibitions have come amid a debate in the city-state on whether gay sex should be decriminalized. Singapore's founding leader, Lee Kuan Yew, a few months ago questioned the ban on gay sex, saying the government should not act as moral police."

these people are just so shallow. who gives them the right to even classify gays as immoral, let alone make them out to be criminals. are they freaking kidding me? are gays not people as well? do they not deserve the same rights as heterosexuals? should they not be allowed to love just as heterosexuals do? should they not be given the same rights as heterosexuals are?
so what if what they are engaging in is not pro creation? so what if it does not fit in with the so called norm? being heterosexual is only the norm because that's what we were all intuned to believe in. so we're all allowed to make other choices on our own but we're not allowed to choose which sex we love? homosexuals are people they're not some puppet whom anyone can control, you cant make them love someone they dont. so stop trying to put a cap on them and just let them experience love, let them love and be loved, let them be with whoever they want. let them be happy. just let them be who they are, and stop trying to enforce your laws on them. because love is stronger than any law in the world, no law is ever gonna stop love, so you should just stop trying. let them live their lives, how can loving be wrong. i hate this damn discrimination that people have. it makes me so angry that people can be so damn ignorant. all because they're so afraid of experiencing something that has been catergorised as "not right" by the society. i hate how people have taken on the role of judge, and how people have passed on their warped believes.
homosexuals deserve the same rights as any of us do. it's all a choice that we make, who we choose to love, who we choose to have be with. i mean think about it, sex before marriage used to be like, the worst thing anyone could ever do. but after people became more accepting of it, it's already been intergrated into our society. it's all a matter of choice. im not saying people can just go sleep around with whoever they want. but we're all intelligent human beings, and we all have that choice. just because someone has slept with someone else, does not make them any less of a person.
damnit, i hate it when people think they're so damn awesome just because they fit into society, like a glove. homosexuality is not wrong. just open your eyes and your mind just a tiny bit and you will understand.
